Hi! I'm Jenny Birchmore, a photographer based in Holyport, Berkshire covering all local areas including Maidenhead Windsor Cookham Marlow Bourne End Taplow Henley and Beaconsfield. Although I'm always happy to travel anywhere in the UK and further afield for clients.

I always had a passion for photography, and from an early age found a natural ability and aptitude for capturing great images. However, in line with about 90% of the UK population, I came out of the education system doing something completely different! IT!

This worked out very well for me, as by my early / mid twenties I was working for myself as an IT consultant and was desperate to use my photography skills and ability. By working part of the week in IT I was able to fund myself through college to gain formal photography qualifications at Richmond. It also gave me the freedom to start setting up my photography business specialising in portraiture and live bands. During this time I was lucky enough to work with a celebrity photographer in Marlow who worked for all the large music publications, and through him, gained incredible experience photographing live bands such as B52's, En Vogue, Robert Palmer, Paul McCartney, Carmel, Sunscream, Carter as well as working with him on a number of celebrity shoots. Amazing times and experience for a girl in her twenties!

I spent time away from the photography profession whilst having our two children, although it always remained firmly in my life. However, I couldn't stay away for too long, and after a number of years away I returned to the profession I am truly passionate about.

I now specialise in baby, children and family photography, and have a great studio at my house that's in a lovely family environment.

During my shoots I love to play with the children and have loads of fun with the whole family to get great natural unposed shots and true reflections of the child - I would never dream of saying "cheese"! It's all done through play, messing around and games.
Working with babies, again as a mother, I understand that some babies have routines and others may not, but am understanding and flexible to their needs and will capture the photos, working closely with the parents, with a very relaxed, patient approach.

Although I specialise in babies and children, prior to becoming a mother my portraits were mainly adults, and still very much enjoy the creativity of adult and young adult portraiture. I love the ability to change the mood with different lighting and capture different styles and looks. Every person is different, and finding a way to light and portray each individual is a wonderful challenge.

Finally, my photoart, well what can I say. I love love love creating these artworks. With my initial career and training being in IT, these skills have really helped in the years of mastering digital photo manipulation. I use these techniques combined with digital hand painting to create these pieces, and really enjoy it. I even dream about what could look really cool. So I love the challenge clients give me with each and every job.

That's enough from me for now, so I really look forward to meeting you and having some fun in the studio or out on location.
